IMPORTANT DISCLOSURES & CLIENT ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
1. Scope of Services
All design and fabrication services provided are custom, species-specific habitat installations created based on research, client consultation, and the information supplied by the client. Each project is unique and may vary in materials, appearance, and structural details.
Concept renderings and design plans are artistic representations and may not reflect exact coloration, texture variation, or minor structural modifications necessary during fabrication or installation.
2. Animal Welfare & Husbandry Responsibility
Habitats are designed to support proper environmental conditions; however, ultimate responsibility for ongoing animal care, monitoring, and husbandry remains with the client.
The client is responsible for:
Environmental systems must be maintained and adjusted as needed to ensure the continued health and safety of the animal.
3. Custom & Handcrafted Nature
All sculptural elements, rock formations, and hardscape features are handcrafted. Naturalistic finishes may include intentional variations in texture, contour, and coloration. Minor irregularities are inherent to artistic and geological replication and are not considered defects.
4. Structural & Installation Considerations
Clients must disclose all relevant structural limitations of their space prior to installation. The studio is not responsible for pre-existing structural deficiencies, improper flooring support, electrical limitations, or environmental factors outside of the enclosure system itself.
For commercial installations, compliance with local building codes, permits, and inspections remains the responsibility of the client unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Environmental Systems & Equipment
Lighting, misting systems, heating elements, and other environmental equipment may require ongoing maintenance, bulb replacement, calibration, and periodic upgrades. Performance of third-party equipment is subject to manufacturer warranties and limitations.
The studio does not guarantee the performance of third-party products beyond manufacturer specifications.
6. Living Plant Installations
Where bioactive or planted environments are included, plant health is influenced by lighting, watering schedules, humidity, and animal interaction. Plant loss or decline due to environmental imbalance or animal disturbance is not considered a design defect.
7. Long-Term Environmental Changes
Habitats are living systems. Natural settling, substrate compaction, plant growth, and normal material aging may occur over time. Periodic adjustments and maintenance are expected as part of responsible habitat ownership.
8. Payment & Custom Work Policy
All commissions are custom-made to client specifications and are non-refundable once fabrication has begun. Deposits secure design time, material procurement, and scheduling.
Any requested design modifications after approval may result in additional charges and timeline adjustments.
9. Liability Limitation
The studio is not liable for:
10. Client Acknowledgment
By commissioning services, the client acknowledges understanding of the custom nature of the work, ongoing husbandry responsibilities, and maintenance requirements associated with living habitat systems.
